The annual Nordic Open Golf Day 2025 brought together 76 players across 19 teams, along with 20 additional guests who joined for a post-game lunch and networking event at Moore Park Golf, Sydney, on 7 March.

This highly anticipated sold-out event has become a staple within the Nordic business community, offering the perfect blend of friendly competition and professional networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Estonia had a record number of teams this year, with three teams competing:

  • Marika Kompus, Hendrik Urm, Carl Urm, Art Protsin – placed 4th overall.
  • Indrek Urv, Ken Kerner, Kris Kerner, Robert Saks.
  • Kristi Barrow, Matthew Porm, Jamie Black, Anthony Gallagher.

All teams performed exceptionally well, with Hendrik Urm winning the male longest drive.

Here are all the Winners:

Players also had the chance to win a brand-new Volvo EX30 Twin Motor Performance Ultra with a hole-in-one on Hole 10. While no one managed to hit a Hole-in-One this year, the Closest to HiO prize was awarded to Andrew Waite (FACC). He took home a luxurious Sydney hotel stay for two generously sponsored by The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

The Nordic Putting Competition ran throughout the day in front of the clubhouse, allowing both golfers and lunch attendees to participate. Winner was Paul Miller (Deutsch Miller) – Hole-in-One!

A Diplomatic Putting Showdown

A highlight of the event was the Nordic Ambassadors and General Consuls Putting Competition, featuring:

  • HE Arto Haapea (Ambassador of Finland to Australia)
  • HE Pontus Melander (Ambassador of Sweden to Australia)
  • Ulrik Friis Dahl (Consul General of Denmark)
  • Rob Lord (Consul General of Norway)
  • Sulev Kalamäe (Honorary Consul of Estonia)

In a true diplomatic showdown, Norway took the win, followed by Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and Sweden. Well done to all participants!
